SURGICAL REFERRAL WORK

 

SURGERY

Croft Vets has a surgical team which would be the envy of many of the British vet schools. Headed by Malcolm Ness who is a RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics) we have a team of orthopaedic (bones and joints), spinal and soft tissue (chests, abdomens, ear nose and throat) surgeons who can boast an impressive amount of expertise and experience. Jonathan Bell takes referrals in orthopaedic and spinal problems as well as having a special interest in soft tissue surgery. Lisa Simpson also has a special interest in surgery. All the Croft vets have a part to play in providing advice and post-operative care to these patients.

This is all backed up by a team of veterinary nurses who dedicate most of their time to these more challenging cases.

MEDICINE

Louise Maclean takes referrals in internal medicine problems such as heart and lung problems and hormonal disease. Louise's expertise is backed up by state of the art diagnostic equipment.

DERMATOLOGY

Judith Joyce takes referrals in ear problems, allergy and other types of skin disease.

We see patients from as far afield as Doncaster, the Borders and Cumbria, but distance is no bar. Unfortunately, we cannot advise on surgery problems over the telephone, but if you have a concern about your pets health, you should speak to your own veterinary surgeon who may wish to refer your pet for more specialist care.
